TRADE ALLY PROFILE: ADK Electric, Inc.

As a relative new member of the Northwest Trade Ally Network, ADK Electric, Inc., Vancouver, Washington, already sees big benefits. According to Marty Smith, estimator/project manager, ADK Electric, information about technologies and incentives has helped his company enhance the value it offers to customers. In business since 1997, the company's 32 employees complete projects throughout the Northwest. "The network is helping us diversify by opening more doors to lighting jobs—we find we have a lot more resources and options." Recently, the company completed lighting upgrades for a large southwest Washington care facility and a local dental clinic. Smith does his homework to understand the ins and outs of all the various programs. In doing so, he is more informed when speaking to customers, which helps them make an educated decision. ADK finds that once customers are presented with various options, potential
energy savings, and incentives—projects often just sell themselves.
