BPA To Overhaul Lighting Calculator
Sep 14 2009
The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) plans to overhaul the lighting spreadsheet calculator used to calculate savings and incentive payments in many public utility lighting efficiency programs. This overhaul follows recent simplifications of the calculator and is designed to improve functionality and user-friendliness. The new calculator will feature improved handling of lighting controls in efficiency projects, simplified drop-down menus, enhanced sales tools, and a more understandable interface.
"We've heard many great suggestions for how we can improve the calculator, and our goal is to implement these in a new tool that will help lighting efficiency programs across the region," said Craig Ciranny, BPA's technical lighting expert. The new tool should be ready sometime next year.
We need your feedback on the calculator — participate in our online survey by September 30.
