Utilities offer great incentives in 2009
Feb 1 2009
Many BPA public utilities are offering attractive lighting incentives for 2009. These incentives are a helpful sales tool for trade allies since they shorten the payback on commercial and industrial lighting projects. Here are a few examples of what utilities have to offer in 2009:
Trade allies working in the Grays Harbor PUD and Tacoma Power territories have rebates for custom lighting projects at $0.17 per kilowatt hour, up to 70 percent of the project cost. Snohomish PUD now provides a per-fixture incentive for their commercial and industrial projects. As with the other utilities, they will pay up to 70 percent of the project cost. In Southwest Washington, Clark Public Utilities CLIP Program also has more for its customers. Clark is offering $0.17 per kilowatt hour for custom lighting projects, up to 35 percent of project cost. The forms are posted on Clark PUD's Web site for immediate access.
