Lighting Calculator 2.0 Brings New Opportunities to Commercial and Industrial Lighting Efficiency Program
Jul 14 2010

Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) recently announced the new 2.0 version of its Lighting Calculator spreadsheet to ensure that utilities and trade allies have an industry-leading tool to capitalize on energy savings potential. A year-long collaborative process with utilities has resulted in the streamlined new version, developed by Navigant Consulting. Lighting Calculator 2.0 offers enhanced functionality and usability needed to support utilities in offering their customers improved lighting efficiency opportunities. Specific enhancements are designed to simplify project entry, support utility customization, improve accuracy of savings estimates, and facilitate future program enhancements. Additionally, several new measures have been added to the calculator to align it with newly approved emerging technologies.

“With commercial and industrial lighting representing over 40 percent of commercial energy savings in the 6th Power Plan it was imperative that we make reporting energy savings easier than ever,” said BPA Commercial Sector Lead Ray Hartwell. “The new version offers state of the art technology to empower our partners to steward energy efficiency opportunities.”

Download the calculator from the Planning, Tracking, and Reporting (PTR) System, or for more information, visit BPA’s Commercial and Industrial Lighting Efficiency Program.
